Hey guys...as I'm attempting to organize...well...something...I realize I don't know who is still really active...and where they are located in the world...so if there is anyone out there who might want to through a Ra party...or maybe even do some major street teaming at local events...I live in Toledo, Oh and travel for work...I'm in Ft Wayne on Saturdays and Sundays...and very briefly in Cleveland on occasions...I'm headed to Cleveland to check out the rock and roll hall of fame this weekend...so I don't mind travel to help organize stuff...let me know...I really just wanna know where the fan base is without having to check every individual profile...

Phoneix, Arizona. We don't really have a strong Ra fan base here.

Vancouver(ish) BC. Canada! I'm the only person around here who knows this band (I think). I'm spreading the word like smooth peanut butter on toast! :naughty:

You're relatively new here. We have tried to organize these things in the past and they never go through. There are too many ppl in the world who love Ra, although it seems like when selling records and booking venues there are never enough ppl who love Ra. We're too spread out.

I'm a longtime Ra fan, and have been around this board/forum for a long time. In trying to organize this, you have to take into consideration ppl taking time off from work, airfares, drive times, hotel expenses, etc. There are so many things to consider and organize that it becomes overwhelming and not everyone can always attend due to life's happenings, plus under 21 Ra fans are usually not eligible to attend the bar scene which is where most Ra functions have been held. And it becomes a matter of whether or not the band themselves would attend the same gathering. There is where you get your biggest attendance.

So, I hate to burst any bubbles, but if you are able to pull something like this together, I would have to bow to you.

Best of luck to you.

I'm in Eastern Iowa and am down to help with whatever if I can. There are a ton of ppls who used to be on here that would probably love to be included, but they never check the boards anymore.

I think we are talking on two different levels...the kind of meeting your talking about is to large scale...With Ra not getting enough recognition...This street team has to go back to the basics...I'm willing to give up the ghost and admit I might be the only Ra fan in Toledo...Only I know from my recent campaign here that such information is far from true...In my close circle of friends...I would estimate around 20 people in that group are Ra fans...my goal now is to make them Ra fanatics...It's like an upgrade...so they can go out and breed more little Ra fans..(insert Evil Laugh here)...I don't see anyone on here close to me so far...and I don't have a passport...so no Canada either...So if I want something to grow here...I'm gonna have to make it happen...thus the campaign begins...and let me tell you as an avid DnD player...lol...I'm totaly in for the challange...So I've started a project here that I have pet named Operation Rising Sun...It starts easy...I have to introduce 5 new people a week to Ra...This is very easy with all the Graduation parties going on...and in that same week get someone to BUY a Ra CD...or BUY one for someone else...also easy with Graduation parties going on...this way I can kill two birds with one stone...The Steps of this Campaign continue untill I reach the final goal...Which intails one of the largest fan bases the world has ever seen...and Ra in the Rock and Roll hall of fame...those goals may seem a little out there...but the sky is no longer the limit...as we are all so wide spread...I think we have a better chance than you would think of really exploding a calling for Ra...WE ARE all over the world...that tells me that Ra can be and already is loved everywhere...and instead of starting in one small territory on one remote Island in the world and having to wait for the spread...The spread has already happened...we just have to get off our lazy bottoms and love and cuddle it so it grows and we can give it a spiked collar and say Ha ha my band is kewler than yours...anyway...it's not that much to get a bunch of fliers printed...and basics say that those fliers and maybe some demo CDs need to get passed out at local shows...Once tour dates are announced I'll know if I should do that here...or in Ft Wayne...or in Detroit...or Cleveland...Columbus...what ever is closest to the shows...what ever it takes...because that's the dedication being a street team member demands...because it is a commitment...and because it is up to us...

It's looking like we'll actually be doing a Portland, Maine show right at the end of July/beginning of August! I'm psyched for that cause I live in the Portland area now.

I think we were thinking 2 totally different things and I apologize for the confusion.
One idea that always works well is to go to your local Best Buy and/or CD Stores and put the Ra CD's on the most viewable end cap - one CD in each slot. I do this every time I go to Best Buy. They hate me there because I'm always putting shit out of place. LMAO Mwuahahahahaha....
