Ben, have they given you a time for when you'll be playing? The Beach House Myspace says 8, I hope it's not 8 because there's no way I can make it from Boston to Portsmouth in an hour!

Thanks Ben - I will be at both the Hartford and Worcester shows and really cant wait to see you guys. I'm VERY new to Ra and was introduced to you guys by my son who you have met. He is good friends with the younger brother of a girl you were dating (won't mention name here). Plus I live in Charlton, I know you know where that is. Hope to have a chance to talk with you live at one of the two show. And by the way the day after the Worcester show my son and I are going to see Dream Theater in Boston, a band I'm told you also dig and guys who also attended Berklee like you and me. Yeah, I'm a bass player.....Also heard that you know Jed Jarvis, he and his entire family have been friends of ours for years and I'm sure you know that his parents own that flower shop in your town.

Kinda sounds like old home week, sorry.....

Ra wouldn't be on at 8. We' have 2 other bands on the run with us. Downstait & Resin. I would imagine that Ra will be on around 10-10:30...guessing, but probably close.

Darn, no PJ at these shows....! Anyway, Ben it's impossible to get any clear information from the venue's in Hartford and Worcester relative to what the bill really looks like. From what I have been able to find the Worcester show has another band called Leaving Eden on the bill but it's not clear if they are opening for Ra of the other way round. There is even less information available for the Hartford show. Any chance you can share what you know about these four shows, maybe even set lists....?

On the Jediah topic, I have had many a jam session with them myself. Brian is on of my favorite guys to jam with and he can literally play anything simply off the cuff. Ian is a great drummer but clearly the total Jediah package tend to hold him back, he would be much better with a more progressive band.....even like Ra. Joel, I used to call him Mr. Octave when he first started to play bass. As a mater of fact his first rig was purchased from me, an old Peavy clunker with a monster 18" cab and another can with 4-10's. I think I sold him the entire rig for $200, he was in heaven. Jed and my son Patrick (who will be at the Worcester show and has met you) were very close friends thru high school but have drifted apart as they got older, but my son still goes to see him now and then. Actually my Daughter just went to see Jed do a solo at one of the Casino's in CT.

Really looking forward to seeing you guys live and trust me the word has been spread, we have maybe 15 prople joining us for the Worcester show.....!

I believe Downstait & Resin are on all the shows with us. We have toured with Downstait before, great guys. And the set list is a surprise! haha. I will tell you it will be mostly Ra songs and maybe a Police cover... ;) Jed will be at the Worcester show too...you'll see him there.

I hope all have fun. I was hoping to go to all the shows, but I have to go play army in the middle of the state and play with explosives. Looks like I might be hitting up the maine show (in uniform) if anyone plans on going to it.

After the New England shows are over, would you mind posting a setlist? I'm looking forward to seeing a Ra show sometime in the future, but I've always been curious how long their shows are and if they play more than just the typical singles...I'd love to hear some other ones in concert, like Taken, or Say You Will, or Walking and Thinking or something.
